Five sentences to describe yourself
I grew up in Massachusetts. I knew in high school that I wanted to work in the music industry. I began my career, interning at Arista Records, Polydor Records and WBCN radio in Boston. I spent 8 years with PolyGram Group Distribution (A&M, Motown, Verve, Mercury, Island Records and many more labels) in sales, marketing, product development and radio promotion. In ’99, I left the music biz to open up my own business, Splash Bath and Body, located in So. Cali and locally at The Village at Squaw.

First concert/where
Oh, I remember it well…I was 12 years old when I attended my first concert. It was The Police “Ghost In The Machine” tour. The GoGo’s opened up for them. The concert was at the Springfield Civic Center, Springfield, MA. General Admission. Tix cost was 12.50!

CD that is cheesy but could never live without?
This is an easy one…I am the proud owner of a Dr. Hook (70’s cheeseball) CD titled, “Sharing The Night Together”. The hits featured on this CD: “Sexy Eyes”, “Better Love Next Time, Baby” and of course, “Sharing The Night Together”. AWWWWWWESOME!!!

First radio experience
My very first radio experience was when I was 16 years old. My girlfriends and I skipped school to take the train into Boston to catch a glimpse of Sting. Sting was promoting his new movie, “Brimstone & Treacle” and was stopping by WBCN to be interviewed by mid-morning show host, Ken Shelton. My friends and I stood (like dorks) outside the radio station, waiting for Sting to make an exit. To our surprise, the staff at WBCN invited us into the radio station studio, WITH STING to sit in on the interview. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I was so tongue-tied, I could not speak. But I think I made a great first impression with Sting!

If you weren’t in radio, what would you be doing?
I would most likely spend more time at my business. My business partner & I do all the product development. I would spend more time concocting new soap recipes and body products.

Fav celebrity and why?
Bono of U2. I was lucky enough to meet Bono a handful of times during the “Unforgettable Fire” tour. Each time, he remembered me. Did you know that Bono has a photographic memory? The last time we met, I was working for Island Records, U2’s record label. The band did an exclusive on-air interview with KROQ in LA. Before the radio interview, Bono & I sat on the couch, chatted about music, the tour and shared a “Black Velvet” (Guinness & champagne). Bono is one of my fav people because he is approachable, personable, playful and thoughtful.

Pizza & beer or Sushi & sake?
Love both but sushi & sake are less filling so I chose sushi & HOT sake. Fav place to sip sake is at Mamasake when Dennis is bartending. Fav place for sushi is Fredrick’s in Incline. Mmmm…unagi roll w/ special thai sauce. Dee-licious!

Which season do you prefer: Summer or Winter?
I enjoy the winter however I LOVE the summer! Its hard to top summer in Lake Tahoe!

Dinner and a movie or concert & drinks?

Love going to movies BUT I will take a live show over a movie any day.
Big pet peeve is when I am at a show and someone tries to hold a conversation while the band is on stage. Ummm…hello? You’re talking during my favorite song!!!! Grrrrrrrrr…..

One word that your friends would use to describe you?
“Spaz”
